HVO VOLUNTEERS


Health Volunteers Overseas is a private non-profit organization dedicated to improving the availability and quality of health care in developing countries through the training and education of local health care providers.
Since 1986, Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) has worked to increase health care access in developing countries through clinical training and education programs in child health, primary care, trauma and rehabilitation, essential surgical care, oral health, blood disorders and cancer, infectious disease, nursing education and wound management.  In more than 25 resource-poor nations, HVO trains, mentors and provides critical professional support to health care providers who care for the neediest populations in the most difficult of circumstances.
